Both the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro come with a built-in FaceTime camera, the new name of the iSight camera. MacBooks comes with Photo Booth, a tool that enables you to take photos and record videos with the FaceTime camera, automatically. You can also use Photo Booth to add beautiful effects to photos you take using the FaceTime camera.

·         Launch Finder on your MacBook, then open the “Applications” folder and launch the Photo Booth software. A green light next to your MacBook camera appears, indicating that the camera is ready.

·         Click the “Effects” button on the Photo Booth if you want to add a special effect to your photo and select the effect. You can view all the results by scrolling through them.

·         Click  red camera buttons to take pictures. Any effects you selected are added to the image.

Step 1

Click the “Photobooth” icon on your MacBook’s dock or from the “Applications” folder.Webcam should turn on, presenting  image from the camera on the screen.

Step 2

Check to see if the computer recognizes the camera if the image from the webcam does not appear. Click ((Finder)) on the dock and click ((Utilities)).

Step 3

Click the “System Profiler” icon. Click At  ((USB)) entry unders the ((Hardware)) section. The ((Built-in iSight)) entry should appears under the ((USB High–Speed Bus.))
